In 2020, General Dynamics Mission Systems initiated a research and development project aimed at redesigning an existing system as the basis to gain funding for implementation. I was selected to lead the UX research team supporting the 13-week research and development project.
I worked with a UX team designer, to create interactive prototypes iterated through user interviews with subject matter experts. As the Lead Researcher, I successfully pushed to recruit users to conduct continuous user testing in 2-week sprint cycles coinciding with each iteration.
This approach resulted in testing of 5 iterations of the design, across 3 generations of users.
The testing provided 28 recommended improvements to the 5-page UI over the 13-week project.
The new designs were used as the basis for a new funded program 2021.
