PROJECT NAME

Tracking Cover Letter Interactions

This project explores a pragmatic, research-driven approach to understanding the real-world effectiveness of cover letters by embedding a trackable QR code that links to a monitored destination. Grounded in established usability and UX research practices, the experiment treats each cover letter as an interface artifact—one whose success can be evaluated through observable user behavior rather than assumptions. By capturing whether, when, and how often hiring stakeholders engage with the QR code, the project applies principles of behavioral analytics, signal detection, and evidence-based design to a traditionally opaque process. The goal is not only to validate (or challenge) the perceived value of cover letters, but also to surface actionable insights about attention, engagement, and decision-making patterns—ultimately informing a more efficient, user-centered approach to professional communication design.

If you want to know more about me and why I will be a great fit for the role that I have applied to, take a look through some of my example projects or contact me directly. Unfortunately, 90% of my work is not shareable as I have spent the last 8 years designing systems for various Department of War programs of record.  Please reach out to me to get a first-person account of some of those projects and to discover if I am the right fit for this role.
